Sculpt Nouveau's Wax
This wax is made with binders, rust, and UV inhibitors. It is ideal for Iron, Steel, and Aluminum. There is also a version for Bronze, Brass, and Copper. They have taken everything good they know of for finishing metal and added to their wax. The wax creates a very beautiful, hard protective coating once dry. The wax will be soft in the container;
  • Apply to a hot or cold surface.Try not to let the wax fill up in the recessed areas as it may turn white.Use a toothbrush or soft brush to remove the excess wax from these areas.
  • If you are waxing on a cold surface, buff the wax within a few minutes.
  • If you are apply the wax to a hot surface, let the surface cool down, then buff.
  • Do not wait very long to buff in any circumstance as the wax soon dries too hard to buff. 
Purchase already tinted wax, or tint the wax yourself with the solvent dyes.  This wax is great over another clear protective coating or used alone. It also works well over a rusted surface or patina, although for outdoor metal, we recommend applying a marine varnish over the rust, and then apply the wax.

Permalac - Permalac is a clear air-dry lacquer that is designed for exterior protection of surfaces of steel, aluminum, copper, silver and bronze at higher temperatures. Contains inhibitors for UV and corrosion protection. It has been found that even a blow torch could not discolor a brass fitting protected by Permalac! In a recent field test, Permalac outperformed 6 other coatings including Syncrylac in protecting steel surfaces. It should give satisfactory exterior protection for at least ten years under normal conditions.
Considerably longer life is expected. Permalac air dries to the touch in less than 5 minutes; may be force dried faster at 250oF. Air dries hard in an hour or so, depending on the film thickness, temperature etc. A remarkable interior/exterior coating which is air-dried and provides a satin or matte, crystal clear, highly durable finish. Originally developed as a protective finish for copper, brass and bronze, Permalac has also been used successfully on steel, wood, terracotta and concrete. It is weatherproof, and resistant to both ultraviolet light and salt air atmospheres.
Approximate coverage up to 35 square feet for 12oz spray can and
350 square feet per gallon can.

Sculpt Nouveau's Matte Stain Spray
Patina Stains are blended to match chemical or traditional patinas, but are easier to apply and manage. Because the Patina Stains include a blend of our Solvent Dyes and Permalac sealer, they are UV stable. These stains may be sprayed, brushed, or rubbed on any metal. They may be thinned to produce a lighter shade. For best results, over-spray with Permalac after application. The stains are available in Black (looks like gun bluing or PC9) and Brown (oil rubbed bronze).They are also available in normal and environmentally friendly formulas. The environmentally friendly formula has lower VOC, no solvent odor, and may be thinned with Permalac EF or acetone.
