  • Pay by the month clay sculpting class held at TCS every Tuesday night. Class is geared towards teaching all aspects of sculpting in clay and is appropriate for all skill levels.

  • Pay by the month clay sculpting class held at TCS every Wednesday night. Class is geared towards teaching all aspects of sculpting in clay and is appropriate for all skill levels.

  • Part 1 of our Resin Rubber Overview series, this class is 2 hours filled with all the information we can give you on mold making products and techniques. Includes some demonstration. Mold making class is held every other month.

  • Part 2 of our Resin Rubber Overview series, this class is 2 hours filled with all the information we can give you on casting products and techniques. Includes some demonstration. Casting class is held every other month.

Life Casting I by Laura Gravenstine, Saturday, Jan. 24; 11:00 am – 1:30 pm (beginners only)
  • Introduction to body-safe materials, primarily alginates.
Life Casting II by Laura Gravenstine, Saturday, Feb. 21; 11:00 am – 2 pm (intermediate/advanced)
  • Body Double Silicone basics and other figure-in-the-round casting techniques.
Anatomical Head Workshop by David Klass, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, February 13, 14 & 15; 10am – 6pm
  • Intensive 3-day workshop creating the anatomical head using oil-based clays.

Since our classrooms are heavily used and we want our students to express themselves in an unrestricted manner, our classrooms are not immaculate by any stretch of the imagination.   • Largest Collection of Sculptors in the country. This is a great place to see and buy art!
 
 
Tri-State Sculptor's Symposium October 10-12, 2008 @ ETSU in Johnson City, TN
  • The organization holds annual Fall conferences with concurrent exhibitions. Presentations cover a wide range of topics of interest to sculptors and those interested in sculpture--casting techniques, public art, studio hazards, gallery relations, etc.
